Before she turns forty!
So the Sister-in-Law celebrated her 39th last weekend and arranged for a few of her close friends to join her in a baking workshop by her fellow ex-colleague. The entire group was made up of urmmm teachers cos my SIL is one.
So yes, apart from me & Dila, my other SIL, the rest are teachers and ke-teacher-an mereka sangat terserlah. LOL
I think it might just be me but most of the time i can tell if that person is a teacher! Teachers seems to have this aura among them and that is not a bad thing lah ok. I think teachers are awesome.
Ok i meant to tell you about the Tea Party cum Workshop she had.
Her ex-colleague Hawa, is a baking genius! The stuff she bakes is like an orgasm in the mouth, pardon the description but honestly, after keeping the cupcakes in the fridge for 3 days, it’s still nice & moist.
#ootd. Lol
Ready, set go!
I cleared the office today. Now it’s spick & span.
Cleared half of the laundry, folded & hanged some of them. I honestly need to spring-clean my wardrobe.
I have too many clothes. My spring-clean mantra, if i have not used it for 6 months then i don’t need it!
I’m gonna continue spring-cleaning this entire week. Friday is the surgery date and i’m just scared if i don’t clean up the house now, it’ll be a jungle next week.
And i hope my menses don’t come before Friday cos if it does, we’ll have to reschedule my surgery and my schedule is so packed this November i don’t think i want to reschedule.
Oh, the entire last week, i went on an online shopping frenzy. Most sites were having Sale and i know i was complaining i have too many clothes but i can’t help it!
keeping it tidy.
just two years of being married and living in the house, my wardrobe is falling apart.
i bought the bedroom set. You know the generic one where it comes with 1 bed, 1 wardrobe and 1 dressing table tu?
The wardrobe is falling apart already. and i really don’t think it’s because i have too many clothes. Oklah maybe part of it lah. But then again, back at my parents place, i have tons of clothes as well but that wardrobe was able to withstand my entire load for 12 years! It’s a built-in wardrobe though so maybe the quality is so much better.
and the one i bought could be untreated wood or chemically-treated wood cos moulds are always growing and i had to keep wiping them every single week lah seh.
So, i’m on a lookout for good wardrobe company. I wanted Besglas initially but my friend who had theirs installed by Besglas said the quality is so-so.
eh dah kahwin!
As we all know, Farhana of Kahwin Khronicles got married last weekend.
When she whatsapp-ed me to ask if i can make it for the wedding, i realised i actually have that Wedding Showcase from 12 – 8pm. uest were expected to arrive at 7.30pm and the bride & groom were expected to march in at 8.00pm. Even though Farhana mentioned it’s a casual affair and i can come in later, i thought it would be nice to sit through the entire thing from the start. So i cabut from the wedding showcase earlier.
We managed to arrive by 7.45pm, gi washroom, amik photobooth picture and all before the Bride & Groom come marching in.
and can i also mention that by 7.45pm, most my makeup was gone, rambut dah macam tiga hari tak cuci.
Having a wedding showcase at a Multi-Purpose Hall is NOT a good idea, i tell you. I was sweating buckets most of the time.
The newly-weds giving a speech before the mic was handed over to their entourage.
of being a mom
one minute i was looking at makeup tutorials and then people unboxing their new handbags and then i saw a full movie and i figured why not?
i thought it’ll be boring since i didn’t even recognize any of the actor & actresses.
But at the end of it, i cried. Like full-on crying without the hingus meleleh part of cos. I’ll reserve that for some other things.
Mom at Sixteen tugged at my heartstrings.
It’s about Jacey, a sixteen year old who got pregnant and struggling and a school teacher, Jenna, happily married and struggling to get pregnant,
I’m not sure if it’s my PMS acting up but i feel for Jenna. I understand that struggles and frustration. I’m glad things worked out for her and Insya Allah, things will work out for me and hubs too.
If you might be interested to shed some tears, here’s the movie!
Going Indo!
For my birthday dinner, i requested the hubby to go to IndoChilli for an Indonesian fare.
All those pictures of their food had me salivating.
Thing about the hubs and me, we kind of have different tastebuds but we try to fit in together.
He always call me Kampong cos i love Indon and Malay Food. I cannot live without Sambal Belacan.
I love petai and all the ulam-ulam.
On the other hand, he loves Western Food. Especially cream-based stuff.
He loves his steak, pasta & burgers and while i do like them, i cannot eat them everyday.
IndoChilli is at ZIon Road. Just opposite Great World City. Like directly opposite.
If you drive, i must warn you parking is a bitch. There’s limited space and because that area is filled with makan places, finding a parking spot can be a chore but we were lucky to snag a parking space right in front of the restaurant itself.
We made a reservation a day before as advised as it can be full house especially on weekend nights.
True enough, when we came, the restaurant was about 90% full, mostly with groups.
Ambience was really nice, it reminded me of a restaurant we went to in Bali. Service was swift. Our food came in less than 10mins.
Here’s what we tried the other day.
The Big 30
Officially in the 30’s club. But i am always always young at heart!
At 30, i wish i have achieved more than what i have now but syukur Alhamdulilah for all that He has given me so far.
All the experience and the opportunities given were priceless and i will not trade them for anything.
To cut the story short, i think everybody is excited for that Jumbo!
I went to the Chanel at Taka! Love the service there although that place is totally littered with rich indons & Arabs!
change!
i was looking to change my skincare routine as SKII does not seem to work for me anymore and Philosophy & Clarisonic came to mind cos of all the great reviews.
I got the Clarisonic Mia 2 because it has two speed settings and 2 years warranty. See, perangai makcik2 dah terserlah.
It’s $215.00 at Sephora and there’s actually an older version at $170.00, with 1 speed setting and 1 year warranty.
Based on the three times i have used it, AWESOME!
My face feels so clean. I didn’t expect it to be so gentle though so that’s a plus! The bristles were really fine & delicate so it does not scratch your face lah. The last thing i want would be scratches.
And then at Philosophy, i got served by this Angmoh guy who use to be a fireman back in California and now selling skincare! i just find that hilarious actually. Lol
I was actually looking for the Clear As Day range but unfortunately it is not available in Singapore yet. So i got a mix of everything.
I have Oily Skin and some of my main concerns include Dull Complexion, Dark Circles, Acne scars & dark spots.
this week
It’s the Birthday week and i’m already having fun going for shopping sprees.
Just today, i met Liza for a trip to Jem to get our Clarisonic Mia 2 from Sephora and then we ‘accidentally’ passed by Pazzion and got our matching sandals.
i swear it wasn’t intentional but me and the bestie just have the same taste in almost everything!
Even in school, we end up buying same shoes etc because we just happen to like the same thing. But we’ll make sure we don’t wear it out together. That would be so boria-ish. hahaha
My super cute god-daughter No 2. Natalia Aesyah Angwin.
really love this girl cos she’s always smiling away!
oh and something really stupid happened today. Liza forgot to bring Natalia’s milk powder! She brought everything out, except the Milk powder! LOL
So she went to the NTUC and bought 1 tin of Milk Powder and went everywhere with that tin of Milk Powder.

I swear, after having 3 children, she’s getting really forgetful!
Anyway, i met Rina, my ex-colleague at Clementi Mall after that cos she wanted to give me an early birthday treat so off we go to Seoul Garden. had a good catch up over bbqing yummy beefs.
As much as i love the old workplace, looking at the current situations, i’m glad i left that place 🙂
Tomorrow is even more exciting. I ‘m heading to Town to get Philosophy Skincare. read so much raves about it that i’m gonna change my entire skincare routine and then there’s Chanel.
Getting the Jumbo tomorrow, baby!
I cannot wait!
And then after that, i’ll be doing up my eyelash extensions. Been so long since i do up mine!
