Sephora Haul!

So if you read me on twitter, u know i was really excited about the Sephora Black Card Sale. Then if you follow me on snapchat (@deardyan), you probably have seen me going to Sephora, buying stuff and all. I didn’t go crazy although i didn’t really follow the list i had. I really wanted to just get 3 items only but end up with so much more. Lol

Here’s what i got and the prices i’ve listed is before the 20% off. If you have the Sephora Black Card, go over to Sephora and spend all your money there! lol. 20% storewide for all brands. You can also buy it online but there are limited brands available.

So here’s what i got! Anyway, this is just a haul post. Not an in-depth review post cos i lazy to do reviews. I just want to poison you guys to go spend at Sephora. Tu je. hahahah

2016-05-05 16.19.09Benefit Pore-fessional Primer – S$54.00
My favourite Primer! i love how this feels on my skin upon applying and it does not make me feel suffocated. I’ve purchased this repeatedly and the SA recommended me this set cos it’s the same price as the Pore-Fessional tube itself.

2016-05-05 16.19.42
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, 30ml – S$114.00
I’ve recently changed my skincare to Estee Lauder and love it, even though i broke out a bit cos my skin was purging out the bad stuff and all but the breaking out has stopped so i’m pretty sure it’s not because it’s not suitable for my skin. I love how my skin feels in the morning just by using the Idealist Pore Refinisher serum and i’ve read so many good things about this iconic serum so i just had to try it. It is definitely pricey so grabbing it at 20% is definitely worth it! I wish they had the 50ml one instock cos that would be much more worth it but the SA told me they ran out of it this morning. Urghh.

2016-05-05 16.23.58
2016-05-05 16.24.31BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop – S$58.00
I love watching Jaclyn Vlogs and when this 1st came out, i was contemplating if i should but it cos i’m scared it’ll make me look like a disco ball cos of all the shimmers and all. But i love this at the 1st swatch. It’s so so smooth and it’s not white/silver so it’s not too bright and the glitters are super fine so it reflects light nicely without making me look like a disco ball.

So those top three were actually in my list to buy. But of course when you go Sephora, your list all ke laut and you end up swatching or trying other stuff so i got these as well.

2016-05-05 16.20.49-1NARS Blusher in Amour – S$50.00
Always in my to-buy list. I love NARS blushers. Only the Matte ones cos the glittery ones are too glittery tak ingat dunia. Amour is such a nice colour, a medium pink that i’ve not had in my collection so far.

2016-05-05 16.21.49
This is the closest i can get to the actual colour! LOVE!

2016-05-05 16.22.33
MAC Select Moisturecover – S$32.00
I need to replace my undereye concelaer cos the Giorgio Armani one that i’ve been using is finishing soon. Yaaaaayyy! Finally! So anyway, the MAC Beauty Advisor told me that MAC is pulling out of Sephora so this would be the last 20% off you’ll ever get from MAC so if you need to stock up MAC stuff, do it now!

2016-05-05 16.22.50
Percy & Reed Blow Dry Makeover Spray – S$26.00
I’ve not tried this before but i’ve been using the Hairspray and i like it. I hope i like this as well! I always style my hair with the Babyliss Big Hair thing and while i love how fluffy my hair is after the blow session, i wish it’ll stay as fabulous even longer and the current humid weather is not helping. I really really hope this would help! And i’ve not not blogged on my new hair! Soon soon. But if you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen it already it’s practically old news. Haha

2016-05-05 16.23.22
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara – S$35.00
Amboi nama kau. controversial abis girl. I’m hard to please when it comes to Mascaras and my holy grail mascara has always been L’oreal Voluminous Mascara.
But it’s hard to find it in SG cos it seems like they no longer bring it in locally and i use to buy it from Drugstore / Amazon. I’m on my last tube ( i always buy a few so i don’t have to keep buying it) so i thought it’s the best time to try and see if this lives up to the hype. So far i like the tube packaging! So nice & sturdy! But packaging lawa pun tak guna kalau the actual product hampeh. So we’ll see!

2016-05-05 16.22.13
Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray, 30ml – S$22.00
I picked up this Travel Size Setting Spray cos it’ll be convenient to bring for my travels or even on days i know i’ll be out the whole day. To be honest i picked this up while waiting at the cashier counter. Padahal i’m expecting the full size of the Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray in the mail very soon tapi tetap mentel nak beli cos i wanna see if there’s any difference. So Sephora is really jahat to put all these travel size stuff at the cashier payment line. .Dangerous. Lol

So that’s my total haul for today! Total damage: S$312.00
The total bill was originally S$391.00 but i save S$78.20 (yaaaaay!!)

If you’re considering to go to the Sephora Sale, please go! It’ll run till this Sunday, 8 May 2016. I went in the morning, at 10.30am and there were not much crowd. Payment counter was pretty fast. I waited less than 10 mins. But expect a huge line on weekends afternoon especially.

Go lah buy something. I’m sure you can find something. Lol

I have another Haul post coming up. Morphe brushes!
I’ve been on a spending spree lately, it’s worrying. Hahaha.

Tokyo Day 5 (Harajuku)

Ok we are finally at Day 5! LOL.
this would be the last daily entry on Tokyo. The next one would probably be a cost breakdown and tips for those bringing kids as i had some email requests on this. So sorry i’m taking so long to draft it out.

IMG_8095

It’s our last day in Tokyo and because our flight is at 8.50pm and we’ll have to be at the airport around 5.00pm, we took the chance to go to Harajuku! I deliberately chose to explore Harajuku on Monday because i’ve heard it can be quite ribut macam Bazaar Ramadhan on sundays and i honestly tak kuasa nak rempuh the crowd. Then again, i’m not into cosplay etc so if you are, then go on Sunday!

We took a cab down to Harajuku cos we didn’t wanna waste time and we requested for the cab driver to stop us nearby Pablo! It is actually really near to one of the subway exit, i just don’t know which exit. So sorry!

IMG_8115

Look out for this sign cos it’s in  one of the small lane!

IMG_8123IMG_8131IMG_8135

This is to die-for korang! You must try this if you’re in Tokyo! They have few outlets all over Tokyo but the one i went to is a Cafe so you can sit down and eat it there. We ate these mini cheesecake pies for breakfast! We chose the mini ones to eat cos the big one is bigger than my palm so we brought it back to Singapore instead!

DSC04251

It survived a 6 hr plane ride guys! I wanted to choose the raw texture where the cheese will ooze out and all but scared it will not survive the plane ride. Haha.

Pablo also have a few souvenir snacks for you to buy home. We bought lots of them! Not cheap to be honest but so worth it cos it’s really really nice!! I snapchat it last time but forgot to download the video and i don’t have pictures so i’m an awful blogger cos i’m making you google for the picture yourself . It’s called Sabrel Cheese and it’s actually butter biscuits with cheese. So lemak and sedap. They have a few others, i bought each of everything and semua sedap!

Right after Pablo, we head on to Takeshita Street which is just 3-5 minutes away by foot.
Can i also mention it was freezing that morning that Rusly almost wanted to buy a glove cos he left his at the apartment, thinking he can steady kacang rempuh the weather. Of course i told him not to buy the gloves cos we’re going home that very night and he should just sumbat his hands in his pocket. That’s why you should listen to your wife guys. Learn from this.

IMG_8193DSC04243

We bought most of our souvenir and small knick-knacks from here. Fridge magnets & keychains for most of our friends and then we head off to Calbee+ for snacks!

IMG_8148IMG_8137

These are delish! I particularly love the potato sticks! They really goreng these panas2 before serving it to you! We took the Royce Chocolate & Cheese one and i personally like the cheese one. They also sell lotsa calbee snacks in small packs which makes really great souvenir. our family loves it and i keep eating them. -___-

IMG_8156IMG_8155IMG_8152

Next stop is CREPES!!! We went to the Marion one as recommended by Farna! So sedap!
I took a safe option though. Choco-Banana. Safe nak mampos. I need to be more adventurous with my food choices!

IMG_8205IMG_8197IMG_8195IMG_8202

Our next stop is Kiddy Land! Trust me, aku yang lagi excited seeing all the toys there. So many cute stuff!!! I bought lotsa toys for my nieces & nephews. and also Nadya of course and me. Hahahahha. I know i do not look like someone who’ll get excited over toys. But really, i do. The toys are quite pricey but they are of good quality and some are released in Japan only. I think i spent close to S$300 on toys alone. wtf.

2016-02-08 13.23.462016-02-08 18.56.41 - CopyWe finished up our shopping by 3.00pm, took a cab back to the apartment to pack stuff and then checked out by 4.00pm. Took the NEX back to Narita, checked in all our luggages before getting our last dinner in Tokyo,

IMG_8263IMG_8275SO SEDAPPPPP!
I love this one a lot! It’s in the airport itself and certified halal so makan lah tanpa was-was! lol It’s pretty much self service so u get to dispense as much broth as u want. The broth is simple tapi flavorful and that telur goyang, stop it seh.

2016-02-08 17.37.11IMG_82382016-02-08 18.02.072016-02-08 18.28.32
Spamming pictures of Nadya cos her pipi so red from the weather and all and it’s so cute!!!
The redness subsides the next day so dah tak leh feeling anak jepun lagik. Oh wells, we’ll make do with blusher k baby!

IMG_8345IMG_8347IMG_8351Flight home went well. Nadya slept most of the time so i ate her infant meal as well. Hahaha. Our luggage didn’t beranak that much but if you’re travelling for about a week with a baby, expect that amount of luggage and backpack lah, carryon luggage lah, mak dia peh handbag lah. I no longer travel light seh.

So that wraps up our Japan adventure! I’ll try and finish up the cost breakdown and tips for the trip very soon ok!

Travel plans!

Time to plan for our October getaway cos it’s already May and i’m having travel withdrawals already.

October is extra special cos it’s our 5th year Anniversary and also my 32nd 33rd birthday! Sumpah sometimes i cannot remember if i’m turning 32 or 33. I have to literally go minus 1983 from 2016 in my head when people ask me how old i’m now. #granny
But who caressss. Someone told me i don’t even look 30. So yeah, #fliphair.

I know i want a trip i’ll remember for a lifetime. Hahahaha. Perangai. Baru 5 year anniversary. Belum 50 year. Kalau 50 year anniversary, aku request gi bulan agaknya.
So we shortlisted a few destinations! Some, i really wanna go and some just tangkap muat. Lol

NEw York

NEW YORK
Undoubtedly my 1st choice. I’ve been wanting to go to New York since foreverrrr. Dari zaman muda remaja but i’ve always thought it’s pretty impossible. Lol
Now with Nadya with us, the 24hr flight to New York seems pretty scary. 24 hours with a wriggly toddler. Hello? But my heart is at New York. It’s all i think about.

NZ

NEW ZEALAND

I love New Zealand landscapes and also cos we can self drive here. Flight is between 12 – 16 hours depending on airlines. It’s a long ride but still manageable lah kan.

Melbourne

MELBOURNE

I love the idea of going to chillax Australia and Melbourne would be a good place for Nadya. It’s very kid friendly and there’s plenty of places we can bring her to and then there’s seafood! Yums! 7 hours flight is also very manageable!

Other destinations i’ve considered are  Turkey + Santorini.
Santorini is one of the places i WANT to go to. But i wanna head there after i visit Turkey. But with the many Turkey bombings etc, i’m really thinking twice. Especially when one of my friend’s sister happen to be verryyy near the last bombing site. I just don’t feel comfortable with it. Maybe not now.

I’ve also considered Amsterdam + London but striked it off the list cos Rusly is not interested in London. Currently the only thing i’m interested about London is Primark. Lol. But i feel like 9 days in Amsterdam alone would be too long and we should split the trip to 2 countries? But 2  Euro countries in 9 day pulak like not enough. And i have no interest in the other neighbouring European countries except for Amsterdam. Actually i kind of lost  the interest in European countries. I know the desire will come again soon. Cos i know i wanted to go Europe last few years and then the fascination just died off macam tu je. Except for being able to buy bags lah. Lol

I have a few criteria for the next trip.

  • Short flight
  • Diversity. i want to be able to shop & also sightsee.
  • Eat good food.

Actually tu je ah and Rusly said KL fits all my criteria. Tenksss.

But after ding-dong-ing for a while and lotsa twitter rants, we finally chose our October destination!

ding ding ding…

….

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Hello Akak.. I’ll meet you soon!

Yes we chose NEW YORK!!!!!  Woots woots!!
How we’ll survive a 24 hour flight with Nadya, i don’t know. We’ll just wing it and i hope to be able to tell you that i survived a 24hr flight with a toddler and you should just #gojer.

We booked the tickets via Emirates cos it’s cheaper than SIA!
We paid $3275.00 for us three compared to $5000+ for SIA.
$1000+ difference boleh cover half of our accommodation there! Lol. Emirates is good enough for us and the timings pun tak merepek. Except for the return journey ada 7hrs transit time. Ok yang tu merepek. We’ll probably go check ourselves in the transit hotel ke apa instead of tersadai kat airport cam pelarian.

But yaaaayyy i’m so excited!!!!!
Dreams do come true after all. I cannot wait for October to come!
Rusly was quite reluctant to say yes to NYC and i had a tough time convincing him it’ll be fine and i’ll bribe Nadya with toys segala so she’ll keep herself occupied in the flight.

Please Nadya, if you cooperate, i’ll buy you whatever you want there.

Now time to find our accommodation there! Will update that next.

padahal Tokyo nya entry belum habis tau. sibuk nak update pasal New York. Lol

DIY Project, Nadya Raessa

Keeping busy

I’ve so many things to update but i’m too busy with everything else but i also don’t want to not update because i don’t want to forget things. Especially stuff concerning Nadya because at times, i cannot keep up with that little girl. They really grow really fast. So i’ll update most of my entries on the WordPress app now. I’ll try and steal time while i let her sleep on my lap and let her stare at me.

Call me crazy but i sometimes don’t want to make eye contact with her when she’s about to take her nap because she’ll just get excited again and then refuse to sleep. So sometimes i bedek and close my eyes also. Sigh the things we do.

I did few stuff for Nadya few weeks back and one of it is the busy board. Like finally seh korang aku habiskan benda alah ni! I’ve been keeping aside stuff for her to explore and play but never had the time to really put everything up. Then one day i had a free time and she was having her nap so i set everything up in less than an hour! Success!

She loves it and i love it too cos it keeps her busy. She’ll try to cabut2 everything but i hot glue the stuff on the board so it’s harder for her.

Most of the stuff are recycled stuff like balance ribbons & fabrics. Calculator yang dah lama tak pakai cos i keep using the phone calculator anyway.

Even the board was recycled from an old poster foam board i have. She loves touching the different texture and also the different noise they all make!

The board is still alive and that’s an achievement. Knowing how rough Nadya is with stuff, i kinda estimated the board to be up for a week only.

I obviously underestimated the hot glue. 😂

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll notice that Nadya has her own Instagram account now! Follow her here  if you don’t mind seeing her again & again on your IG feed. Lol

I post different set of pictures on both accounts so you won’t see double!
I created an account for her cos i wanna share her pictures & videos but i don’t want her to take over my own instagram. Hahaha.

And i gotta admit, i’m that annoying mum who keeps posting her child’s photo. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Ok tak, aku tak melampau gitu. But yeah you get what i mean and not everybody wanna see updates of Nadya all the time. So creating an account for her allows my friends & family to choose whether they wanna see updates on her ke tak.

We’re also reviving her own label for Hari Raya. I put a stop to it for a few months cos i had no time to sew hairbands and all. But i managed to get a supplier to produce her first Hari Raya Collection!

2I’m currently waiting for new samples to be done before i start taking in orders. There will be two designs for Hari Raya  and this is one of them! This slit-arm kurung is really chic and comfortable cos ada lubang besar kat tangan so they don’t feel too warm in it!

I have another peplum design in a really nice & cooling material. The supplier sent me a picture of the sample earlier and it is so cute i cannot take it!! Lol

It’ll be a preorder cos i’ll be offering sizes from 0- 6 months up to 5-6 years old.
and there will be about 30 colours available for you to choose from! Unfortunately i won’t have anything for the boys. Maybe next time when i have a boy! Insha Allah!

To keep yourself updated of the Raya Collection, you can follow Nadya’s online store Here.
Cheyyyy Nadya’s online store padahal mak dia yang buat segala kerja.

Waterplay!

Aaaah the weather these days! I don’t even wanna start complaining cos there’s really nothing i can do about it anyway.

It’s the long weekend and my sister is getting married this weekend. So exciting!
But i’ll do a separate post on the wedding later once it’s done & over with. Haha

Since Rusly’s not working today, i have an extra helping hand at home and Nadya is always excited when her papa is at home cos that means an extra person she can play with and she’s refusing naps! Nadya still take at least 2 naps per day and if she don’t take any naps, she’ll be really cranky nanti.

So we did waterplay today. Hoping she’ll get tired and sleep immediately. It’s also fun lah to let her soak in the water cos it’s so hot! So this would definitely cool her down a bit!

DSC04488DSC04489DSC04493

She got so excited seeing that pool of water she wanted to jump right in.
Step macam pool tu besar gila.

DSC04592DSC04609DSC04610

So was my plan successful?
Duh.. of course. Flat terus budak tu macam swim 10 lap.

The Travel Tales

Tokyo Day 4: DISNEYLAND!!!!

Yes, over gila aku. Part Disneyland je kena capital letters, siap exclamation mark semua.
But that’s because Disneyland is indeed the happiest place on earth.
You can literally hear that “happy song” once you enter Disneyland that makes you wanna jalan henjut2 that kind. Not kidding.

IMG_7984

So i got the Disneyland tickets from JTB Singapore cos i didn’t wanna waste time queuing up for the ticket at Disneyland itself. It’s $88.00 for Adults & $58.00 for CHild (4-11yrs old). Free for anyone below 4!

We took a highway bus to Disneyland from JR Highway Bus Terminal which is few minutes away from our apartment at Shinjuku. It’s actually next to Takashimaya & Times Square. It’s not a huge place but you’ll know it’s a bus terminal. The journey took about 45mins and costs ¥820 (S$10.00) per adult. Bus is clean & comfortable. We even managed to take a nap! It’ll stop at Disneysea first. Disneyland is the last stop.

You can also go there by the subway but you gotta change stations and all. I seriously malas already so if you stay at Shinjuku, take this highway bus! U can just sleep in the bus, it’ll take u straight to heaven Disneyland. Be careful of the timing though. The last bus leaves at 9.50am.You can check out details on the bus here.

DSC04014

One of the Disneyland Staff was kind enough to ask if we would like to take pictures at the entrance. We didn’t even have to ask for help seh. Why are they so niceeee.

DSC04036

Plenty of space for her to roam around and she really roamed around tak kisah dunia. I had to keep chasing after her. -___-

DSC04049

We watched our 1st show for the day at Theatre Orleans. Minnie Oh Minnie!
I really wasn’t sure if Nadya would appreciate it but…

DSC04050DSC04051DSC04053… Nadya was smiling throughout the show. Really macam paham ni budak. Haha
So i’m guessing she enjoyed it too. So yes, never too young for Disneyland. Never too old either!

DSC04076DSC04081

We didn’t really take any rides cos Nadya is too young and to be honest, i’m too lazy to queue up and all.

Initially i was apprehensive on visiting Disneyland during winter cos it’ll be cold and all. But we arrived at about 11am, by then the sun is up so it was a nice weather. You have the sun shining bright but really cooling air. But we still bundled up cos it was still cold! At least 10-11 deg during the afternoons. But you’ll see some young Japanese girls ke hulu hilir kat Disneyland dengan skater skirt pendek. Me & Rusly macam nak diri depan dorang and salute je. Kulit apa sak pakai skirt pendek time winter.

And we argued whether they were wearing skin-coloured stockings or anything. I went so close to one of them and discovered that nope, no stockings. Confirm chop guarantee cos aku nampak bulu roma dia ternaik. Hahahaha.

DSC04110DSC04118DSC04152DSC04173DSC04184DSC04193DSC04205

The parade was obviously my favourite lah kan. I think i enjoyed it more than Nadya. Aku duduk depan. I left Nadya with her father. Yeeeehhhaaaaa.

DSC04232

Took few more pictures around Disneyland, bought churros, popcorns and ate at one of the diners. I think it was some seafood rice & fries. The fries is seriously sedap cos tengah sejuk2 makan fries panas2. Ya Allah nikmat dia. Padahal fries je. Airfry sendiri kat rumah pun boleh.

Oh can i also mention i love love love their Baby Room? We went to the Baby Room nearby Toontown and it is so pretty & clean. There were people there to help you to the changing station, lay the changing mat for you and all. They also have a place for you to feed meals to your baby. The whole atmosphere was just really nice. Oh and Rusly noticed another thing. I was the only mom changing diapers there. The rest of the changing station were occupied by the daddies!! I’m not kidding! The daddies there are quite hands-on! The mummies were outside, waiting for the daddies to be done. Rusly noticed that cos he felt out of place. HAHAHA.

IMG_8038

We shopped around for souvenirs and bought benda-benda merepek for Nadya (and me!) and left Disneyland at about 4.00pm so we could catch the 1st bus out which is at 4.10pm. I love Disneyland but it was really tiring. So we left early. We took the same bus, at Disneyland Bus Station and that picture above is Nadya interrupting some nenek-nenek nya conversation. tsk tsk.

IMG_8048

The view from the bus. It was so pretty. ❤

It was about 5.00pm when we reached Shinjuku. It was dark and we were tired so we wanted to get dinner and just rest.

So guess where did we go?

IMG_8063IMG_8069IMG_8071

Gyumon lagik lah!!! :p
Aaaaah so sedap. I miss Gyumon. I miss Tokyo. Sighhh.

IMG_8074

And that’s muka penat, tak sabar nak balik and get the damn heater on!

Selamat Hari Raya!

Oh belum eh?

So anyway, i’ve opened up preorders for Sampul Raya this year. Didn’t get to do it last year cos Nadya came along and it’ll be too much work. Now that she’s bigger and can occupy herself, i think it’ll be manageable for me!

These are the designs i’ve done so far. Might be adding few more designs soon.

The Earlybird Promotion is from today till 16 March 2016. You’ll get 4 packs at $10.00.

Usual price would be 3 packs for $10.00 and that preorder will commence on 17 March 2016.

Shrimp Cakes Recipe

2016-03-07 12.15.22

So i’ve contemplated feeding shrimps / shellfish to Nadya since she turned 1 but i put it off again & again cos i’m scared of the allergy reaction she might have cos both me & Rusly have mild allergies to seafood.

Nadya loves her burgers & patties. So i thought Shrimp cakes would be nice for her to try!
It turned out to be so nice and sweet! I love it myself! Hahaha.

Here’s the recipe.

  • 250gm Shrimps. Minced / cut into smaller pieces.
  • 1/3 cup of Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 3/4 cup of Cooked Rice
  • 1 egg
  • 1 clove of garlic. Minced.
  • Chinese Parsley
  • a dash of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of Parmesan Cheese

Mix everything together & shape them. Pan-fry with VCO / Butter / Olive Oil.
You can take them out of the pan once the shrimps have turned orange and the shrimp cakes are slightly brown.

2016-03-07 11.54.47

If you’re not ready to feed shellfish to your child, you can also substitute it with Salmon / Chicken. It can be anything really.

2016-03-07 11.45.22

Just in case you don’t know, this is the Panko breadcrumbs. You can get it at major supermarkets.

This is quite filling cos there’s rice in it. It would also make for a great snack to bring out!

You can find all other #NadyaNomNomNom recipes here.

Oh so Mat!

Mat as in the floor mat, play mat, you know? Not the Mat & Minah kind of Mat. Heehee

So anyway, now that Nadya is full on eating, i’ve upgraded her to eating placemats!
Previously i either feed her myself from a bowl etc or if it’s something that she can feed herself, i just put it on her High Chair tray. We’re using the IKEA High Chair. It’s basic, cheap, light and easy to clean.

We initially bought another high chair but that damn thing was so heavy and such a hassle to move around. Cleaning up is also a hassle. The IKEA chair goes to the toilet after almost every messy meals and get hosed down and left to dry. I’ve got 1001 things to do so cleaning high chairs must be a chop chop affair.

Andddd back to the mat! We’ve used the mat since last October and that thing is good investment! We bought the EZPZ Mat from Mumspick during the last Baby Fair. It was about $70.00 for the regular Happy Mat and the Happy Bowl. That’s the promo price btw. The retail price is $48.00 for the Happy Bowl & $52.00 for the Happy Mat.  We’ve got a new addition to the family. The Mini Mat!

2016-02-22 11.00.37-1

This would be a good indication on the size. The Mini Mat is the only one that can fit the IKEA Chair properly. The others is slightly big and the suction might come out. But Nadya is usually too focused on eating that she didn’t even try to peel it off or something.

Here’s how they look like on the IKEA High Chair.

The Happy Mat

The Happy Bowl

The Mini Mat

2016-02-22 10.56.04 HDR

What i think about them individually:

The Happy Mat

  • It’s huge so i usually use this Nadya’s meal. I love the compartment as well so i can usually place her fruit together with her main meal.
  • It’s bigger than the IKEA Tray but the excess surface helped to catch some of Nadya’s food. So she made lesser mess now. Previously, all her food will drop drop drop like grapes seh.
  • The only thing i hate about it is it’s heavy & bulky so i can’t bring it out with me. Usually when we go out, i paste the disposable Winnie The Pooh Mat but nadya will peel them off all the time!

The Happy Bowl

  • This is perfect for porridge or rice with soup. The bowl’s depth is just nice! It’s not too deep that it’s hard for her to self-feed using a spoon. But it is deep enough to house her food and not spill when she tries to scoop food out.
  • Only thing i don’t like about the Happy Bowl is that there’s no place to place her fruits. So i’ll have to remove the bowl and then place her fruits on the tray or use the regular mat. So it’s more clean-up for me.

The Mini Mat

  • The size is perfect for the IKEA Tray, as mentioned and it is light!!
So bringing it out is easier. Just put in the bag it came with and throw it in the diaper bag. So now i don’t have to bring use the disposable placemat cos really nadya will just peel it off.
  • The small surface area means u can’t put much food in it. So i’ll use it for travel etc. Or for her tea time snacks at home.

This is how they look like with food on them! I have not taken any action shots with the Mini Mat. Maybe some other time.

Hope this can help you decide which one to get! I personally love all three.
Oh and another reason why i like them, there’s no sharp corners. All rounded corners.
So no chance for mould etc to settle in! Wooots!
