Pagi-pagi Ahad, mother aku call cakap card aku masuk Berita Minggu. She wasn’t expecting it cos she didn’t know about the interview so it was such a nice feeling to wake up to her very surprised & proud voice. lol
we can pick up bridezilla vibes
On a vendor point of view, trust me when i say we can instantly pick up bridezilla vibes from working with so many brides. Dia ada macam satu jenis nya aura tau, even though kalau berbual kat FB je. Betul, tak tipu.
So, dear btbs, i know you’re excited about your wedding. But vendors do not lurk on their FB page every hour to check on your PM enquiries. If they do, maknanya either dorang takde kerja lain, pasal takde business ataupun dorang kaya sangat, so dia upah orang untuk jaga FB page dia every hour. The latter is quite unlikely though.
So if they do not reply your FB enquiries within 12 hours, it’s ok. Give them at least 24 hours before you try another way of contacting them. eg; email or calling. If it was that urgent, you would have just called them on the spot kan? If you FB message a vendor at 2.00am, please do not expect them to reply by 8.00am pls. Not everybody have the same sleeping pattern as you.

it has been a while, no?
I’ve been so busy these days i could barely gather enough thoughts for a proper blog post.
and to be really honest, i’ve got really short-term memory these days. Like really short-term.
Just the other day, while showering, i thought of a genius business plan (or so i thought), but i knew it had something to do with The Card Maison. Anyway, during the entire shower session, all i could think about was that plan and told myself i’m gonna google about some stuff relating to it once i’m out of the shower. Once i’m out of the bathroom, dried my hair and stuff, switched on my laptop, eh, i forgot about the entire thing lah. Macam budak selenger duduk depan laptop trying to remember what i was supposed to google about. Guess what? i still can’t it remember till today.

Raya-Ready!
It was our first Raya as husband & wife. Lotsa unexpected, happy things happened on the 1st day of Syawal. Alhamdulillah, all our prayers were answered. It was also chaotic cos we had to time our raya visiting properly, now that we have two sides to go to.
We’ve never practiced Raya Visiting with each other families when we were still engaged / gf-bf stage cos we found it a lil unnecessary, so it was quite nice to be able to meet his cousins etc.

Since i am out and about in the car doing deliveries, by that i mean my husband driving all over singapore while i stare aimlessly and try not to irritte him too much because tgh puasa, cranky mengalah org mengandung!
I did these eyelash extension last 2 weeks just to try them out before Raya. Cos i’ve heard it could be a lil uncomfortable for 1st timers so i didn’t wanna risk snapping on my relatives on 1st Day Raya because of my eyelash vouge ni kan.
Xiaxue had this promo advert on her blog and so i decided on Caragheen which was conveniently located at Liang Seah St.

we love, love love the new kitchen and i’m so happy we waited for it. Considering that there might be some drastic changes in 2013, i’m glad we don’t have a reno loan to pay off!
We took quite a few quotations, some were reasonable, some were outright outrageous. As much as i would love to support our malay renovation companies, they either give me shitty quotations or shitty service.
I had actually shortlisted one of the renovation companies and then i got to know my colleague’s husband does renovation works. His quote is about 1k higher than the one i shortlisted but i know it will give me a peace of mind knowing that i’m getting a person i can trust to do up my kitchen. So i went ahead with it.

Has been pretty awesome, really.
I’ve pretty much try to be more hands-on in the kitchen more, cook more for iftar and i’m happy at the end of the day, when we sit down for iftar, bila dia baca doa buka puasa, satu macam nya feeling yang tersangat best.
Imperfect he may be, in other’s eyes. But i choose to only see the perfect side of him.
This would be our 1st Raya together, and i’m excited to see how our plans would be.
Suka main tiup-tiup?
I was browsing around some wedding blogs (why am i still browsing wedding blogs, i have no idea!) and came across these really cute balloons Save-The-Date Cards.
Basically u just print your wedding details on the balloons and get your guests to inflate the balloons to know the details.
Pretty cool kan? Awesome if you have those fun and colourful wedding themes!
Cool aside, this will not work if you are printing like 500 cards.
The printing on the balloon will cost a bomb. Technically u’re printing twice the amount for your wedding cards so it’ll probably be best you keep this to your dinner reception.
Makcik2 kalau dapat card macam ni, 7 hari 7 malam dia menyumpah korang.

Still on the topic of balloons, we know how balloons always managed to light up the atmosphere and if done correctly, balloons can add a little extra of class to your wedding without making it look like a 3-year old birthday party.
I love the idea of these inverted balloons. Instead of having the ribbons hovering over you, you have the balloons instead, like a chandelier. Pair this with Fairy lights. awesome.
Apparently, the trick to doing this is to just add a marble in the balloon to add the weight!
