Her, Him, The Husband & Wife, The Travel Bug

The KL Trip

Such an overdue post, i know. But better late than never kan?

We went to KL with the Jentayu family over the CNY weekend.
Fun, fun, fun.

We stayed at the Swiss Gardens Residences which is a typical Serviced Apartment. Love the place. It’s new (masih bau kedai), clean and most importantly, has Free Wi-fi. The breakfast though, could be improved cos there were limited choices.

Nah, tengok gambar. Malas nak cerita panjang2. lol

The Poster

This is where i placed the Wedding Guestbook Poster.
I hang it at the Pink Room!

I am so glad i decided to do a poster instead of a book. Cos i could hang it, see it and be reminded of the wonderful time i had on my wedding and the people who came, their best wishes etc.

I snapped this last night because i was feeling emo again. lol
i can’t believe it has been 5 months since our Big Day. cepatnya.
Just what have we been doing for the past 5months sey.

and just 5months into our marriage, i now face the makcik2 problem.
“Nari nak masak apa eh.”

sigh.

Kitchen Projects, The Husband & Wife

Pop it in the oven.

Sejak menjak dah kahwin ni, aku selalu gak lah feeling Nigella Lawson. Balik kerja, takde benda lain nak buat, kalau aku tak masak, aku makan. Tu aje lah.

Muka aku ni pun dah bulat macam pinggan orang kawin. -_-

So, just yesterday, i baked Shepherd’s Pie. Feeling omputih pulak k.
Pasal asyik makan Nasi ngan Mee je.

I love makanan omputih because it is so easy to cook and it doesn’t require much effort nor ingredients honestly. Great for working wives (macam saya).

I don’t know how long i can keep up with the “masak-lepas-balik-kerja” routine cos most of my colleagues cakap memenatkan. So far i find it enjoyable, but that’s because i love cooking. Especially when your husband walks in through the door after work and find you at the kitchen. Itu feeling yang tak tau nak cakap apa. lol

Tapi bila your husband balik rumah and find you sitting on the kitchen floor, chopping chicken, macam nak selubung je muka ngan kain batik. Malu sangat. Macam makcik2. Sungguh tak sexy.

But no, I am not in the pakai-kain-batik or the baju butterfly nya phase. Yet.
tyvm.

Last thing to do

….before we usher in 2012.

20111231-153705.jpg

20111231-153714.jpg

We are doing major changes to our hair. Yes, me and the boy.

I’m doing a digital perm, after having straight hair for sooo long. The last time i did a perm was in 2007 and i’ve had rebonded hair since then.

I’m so nervous. I don’t even know what to expect. It feels like taking my exam results. Yes, im comparing my hair makeover to my exam results. Sangat bimbotic i know. .

2011 was awesome. I got a house and got myself a husband and new set of parents. 🙂

2012 is gonna come in few hours and i would like to wish u guys a blessed new year ahead and may 2012 be even better than before.

Every year i nake the same old resolution.

Lose some weight.

But it never happen.

I’m gonna make sure it happens in 2012 cos the 1st thing i’m gonna do is be disciplined and go for my aerobics classes twice a week. No excuses.

Happy New Year!

Review on My Little Cuppies: Cakes and more cakes!

Remember the cupcake stand i painstakingly DIY-ed?

This is how it looked on our big day.

I ordered some regular cupcakes ($1.80) and some mini ones ($0.80) from My Little Cuppies.

I chose a simple design considering that my Cupcake Stand has plenty of details already.

The cupcakes taste nice! You know how some cupcakes nampak lawa tapi bila makan, kadang2 manis and some buttercream has that plastic taste? Yang ni takde!

I was very pleased with the presentation and the taste so definitely thumbs up for Kak Ros!

All in all, i only spent less than $100.00 on my cupcakes and the materials for my cupcake stand costs me less than $50.00.

Apart from the cupcakes, i also ordered the Viola Set from Kak Ros.

picture taken off her website.

I requested for Cake with a White Flying V guitar with Tiffany blue base for the cake and i absolutely adore the final outcome!

If you are looking for cupcakes for your wedding, i would recommend My Little Cuppies.

She also does wedding cakes and wedding cupcake tiers.

But if you are on a budget like me, you can get the loose cupcakes from her and diy your own cupcake stands.

If you are lazy to DIY your own, my cupcake stand is up for rent at a nominal fee. 🙂

The Husband & Wife

After 10 days..

After 10 days of being a wife, here’s what i have to say.

  • Suddenly, macam banyak gila kerja rumah nak bikin. I’m not a domestic goddess, so the first few days kahwin tu, macam banyak sangat laundry nak bikin. It doesn’t help that i don’t normally iron shirts etc. So when it comes to ironing his work shirts and pants, i nearly fainted.
  • We both start work at 9am and while i am used to waking up at 8am every day cos my friend will drive me to work at approx 8.50am and we’ll reach office at about 9.20am (hee hee). The boy have to wake up by 6.00am and leave the house by 6.30am cos he’s using the OPC car and need to reach his work place at Jurong East by 7.00am. Needless to say, our frist day back to work was pretty chaotic. I managed to wake up by 6.00am but i didn’t have the energy to go on waking him up 3 to 4 times. i gave up after the first try and went back to sleep. The both of us did not wake up till 8.00am. Imagine kita semua lari2 dalam rumah macam org gila just tomake sure we get out by 8.30am!

But, i am enjoying the whole marriage life. It just makes us bond even further. Each night before i sleep, i am thankful to Him for letting me meet my soulmate.

I know it’ll be hard for us to adjust to our new life. Just few nights ago, i cried cos i was homesick. But i know, given time, we will definitely get used to our new lifestyle.

I am certainly learning to domesticate myself, starting with the laundry and cooking.

Twice, the parents-in-law came, and i was able to whip out some dishes including Mee Soto. Uber proud! I didn’t manage to take picture of the Mee Soto cos everyone was hungry. lol

Our first proper dinner. Sambal sardin + Kailan Oyster + salted egg.

I pounded the onion the traditional way cos we forgot to buy a blender. lol Akak-akak shop & save.
Our Big Breakfast last sunday.

Wedding Videos [Part 1]

Over the weekends, one of our good friends, Gee put up three short video of our wedding. This is supposed to be a lil sneak preview of our wedding, before Azmi starts editing the actual video itself.

Here’s the short preview. Thanks Gee! I love the mood of the video and the smiles i see. I’m starting to miss the wedding already!

and here’s a short video of Jentayu at our wedding, which is super cute.

Dah halal!

Just a short post cos akak sekarang dah jadi bini orang, dah start busy. Pasal rumah tonggang terbalik. Masih belom kemas lagik!lol

Alhamdulilah, everything went well. A little hiccups here and there but it doesn’t matter much cos there was few unexpected stuff that happened that made me smile on that day.

The boy secretly composed a song for me and sang it on our wedding day. That was priceless and automatically erased all the imperfection that happened on that day. It came as a surprise and i kept crying throughout the whole song. (him too!) lol

I think some of you would have seen some tagged pictures from either mine / lyanaz bridal / chase hasemi / jss deco Facebook. But here’s a bit of pictures till i sit down and write a detailed post on everything.

Here’s a little sneak peek from Hasemi’s album from our Marina Barrage Outdoor Shoot:

Me love all the 3 pictures. I can’t wait for all the pictures!

Till later, ok!

Almost a Home!

Last week was busy for us. We finally managed to paint the house, meet the flooring guy and choose our colours and also managed to get it installed asap!

I was amazed at how fast they took to get the floorings done!

They started work on Friday 9.30am and by 12.00pm, just before they went for lunch, 2 of the rooms and half of the living room was done. They actually told me everything would be done by day afternoon, but looking at how fast they managed to install everything, i knew it would be ready by the end of the day.

True enough, it was done by 5.00pm!

I was so excited lah tapi bila part nak kemas2, sapu habuk tu, punyalah malas…. 😦

I totally love the floorings. It made such a huge difference to our place already!

Here’s the living room area.

Before:

The process:

We painted one side of the wall with Dulux Pentalite “Stone Cave”.

Half of the laminate floorings done.

After:

The TV Area of the Living Room.

The dining area.

The almost completed look. We have yet to get our TV Console and our curtains though.
For the floorings, we used the colour “Snow Teak” as we wanted a more modern and clean look.

The Master Bedroom:

We painted the Master Bedroom with Jotun Strax “Lys Jord”

*sorry for the crappy quality. Picture was taken using my iphone at night.

We used a darker flooring colour for all the rooms as we wanted a more cosy warm ambience for all the rooms 🙂

The Entertainment Room:

Hands down, my Favourite room! hehe
This room will be used for:

  • Storing musical stuffs for Jentayu
  • Store all my cards and posters for The Card Maison
  • Relax and watch Internet movies. lol

I’m so happy the house is starting to really look like a home now. The only thing pending is the small little stuffs and also the kitchen.

3 months to go before our wedding. Scary.
