The Husband & Wife

the reality is..

Image

you know what i’ve notice after marriage? We argue about really stupid things.
like, how come he did not wash the dishes last night when i specifically told him to.

We have come to an agreement that if i cook, he’ll have to do the dishes (which he hates!) or he do the laundry (which he quite like to do but i hate to see him do it because he just dump everything inside and don’t get me started on how he hangs the clothes up.)

We no longer argue about the other major heartbreaking stuff anymore.
Errrr…like money, ex-boyfriends & girlfriends etc. hahaha

Oh, how lucky.

The Husband & Wife

i’m a free bird

….. after this weekend. I can’t wait to get this done and over with, seriously.
i miss the luxury of doing almost nothing in the office, daily. lol

Just surf the net and each time the boy calls me and ask what i’m doing, i will answer “Buat bodoh jeeeee…..” dengan cerianya. >___<

Nowadays, when he calls and ask,

boy: “buat apa dari tadi?”
me: “eh.. eh.. buat kerja lah. banyak sey benda nak buat.”
boy: “ye ke? u ada kerja ke?”
me: “ok bye.”

blows off dust

How long has it been since i said hello?

Been pretty busy with work cos the CE is happening like next week so the whole department is in a frenzy and sometimes i can’t even kickstart my mind. I don’t know where to start 1st. lol

Other than that i’ve been pretty good. I spend most days after work cooking for the boy and watching Korean Dramas. I feel so makcik2 i know and i recently got hooked to Korean dramas again after so long.

Not something me or the boy like though. I can spend my entire weekend just watching Korea Drama. *slaps forehead*

I kind of need a short getaway but i just can’t seem to find when can we do that.

April is a no-no cos i have few workshops to run that month and i don’t think my leave will get approved.

May pun tak boleh pasal it’s our Car birthday month and duit banyak kluar that month. Banyak gila. lol So tak payah lah aku nak menambahkan lagik expenses for the month.

June is school holidays and i hate going for trips during school holidays.
July dah puasa. Abih bila masanya aku nak gi holiday? Takkan tunggu lepas Raya?
Dah september tu. 😦

Maybe ajak husben ku gi Sentosa je lah, main air.

The KL Trip

Such an overdue post, i know. But better late than never kan?

We went to KL with the Jentayu family over the CNY weekend.
Fun, fun, fun.

We stayed at the Swiss Gardens Residences which is a typical Serviced Apartment. Love the place. It’s new (masih bau kedai), clean and most importantly, has Free Wi-fi. The breakfast though, could be improved cos there were limited choices.

Nah, tengok gambar. Malas nak cerita panjang2. lol

Special Events

Unleashing the inner Minah in me.

Last weekend was major exciting.

I went for the Slam’s Concert with the boy, Azmi & Nori.
I bought the $120.00 one with Nori and sat 5 rows away from the stage while the boy and Azmi got a $70.00 ticket and sat behind. lol.
I step single for 3 jam je.

The concert was awesome. I have nothing bad to say about it.
It was so awesome, i lost my voice after that after all the constant singing and screaming. I felt like a 16 year old again.

I swear the boy layankan je angau aku. But you gotta give it to the boys (Slam, i mean). The whole concert macam dengar kat CD hokey!

The music sedap, suara Zamani tak yah cakap. Sama macam dengar kat CD! It was worth the $$ i paid for the tickets.

And then, on Sunday, Jentayu was invited to perform for Darul Mawa Relocation project along side with other local and malaysian artiste including….

Yes, my abang Awie. My heart cannot take it, i tell you.
I nak amik gambar ngan dia pun i malu. *facepalm*

He was so so so close to me, macam nak pengsan! lol
Again, the boy layan kan je angau aku. hahaha kesian dia.
Dapat bini perasan.

But it’s ok. I is meeting him again on 25 March sama akak Ella i.

tak sabar.

note: in case you people think i’m a psychotic groupie, no.
I don’t really go gaga over malaysian artistes except for Awie, Slam, M Nasir and Siti Nurhaliza. The rest, i can’t be bothered much. lol

The Poster

This is where i placed the Wedding Guestbook Poster.
I hang it at the Pink Room!

I am so glad i decided to do a poster instead of a book. Cos i could hang it, see it and be reminded of the wonderful time i had on my wedding and the people who came, their best wishes etc.

I snapped this last night because i was feeling emo again. lol
i can’t believe it has been 5 months since our Big Day. cepatnya.
Just what have we been doing for the past 5months sey.

and just 5months into our marriage, i now face the makcik2 problem.
“Nari nak masak apa eh.”

sigh.

DIY Project, Musings of a Bride

of wedding albums

oh, since i have some pictures on my laptop and some spare time, here’s how my DIY wedding album looks like.

Here are the pictures that i’ve sent to print. After much googling and bertapa kat Clubsnap, i finally printed my gambar2 at Miao Laan Colour Centre at Bukit Batok. So if you are staying nearby there, go get your prints done there. The quality is the same as what the other photographers will give you one.. Not those yang u cuci kat kedai film biasa. I can’t remember what kind of paper they used lah, but definitely not the usually ones the kedai2 film kasi, that will wash out the colours of the photos.

I think i paid $0.30 per piece and i printed about 400++ of pictures in total. but i know i spent less than $150.00 for the pictures ah. I also got my album and refills from them and the total bill came up to $200 gitu aje.

The service was super fast. All the pictures were printed in less than an hour actually and the white border, i requested for it was FOC.

Our image-wrap album that was sent to my office, hence the messy background. haha.

I think i’ve mentioned that i got a great deal for this, one of the offer that Photobook Singapore was having. I got it at $37.60 excluding shipping fees.

In total, i spent less than $50.00 on this including shipping fees and also some extra pages.

I love the quality of the book but i think the colour saturation on this one was a bt more reddish as compared to the pictures i printed with Miao Laan.
The boy can’t tell the difference, but because i deal with printings a lot, i can tell the colours are quite different.

I personally prefer Miao Laan’s colours myself but if you’re not too anal about it, then Photobook Singapore would work out fine for you.

Service wise: The software was quite handy, easy to use but because im used to working with Photoshop, i feel there were some limitations to the system and i would actually prefer to work with Photoshop still but too bad, they only accept artworks done by their system.

The printing and the who she-bangs was really quick though. I got it within a week or so after sending my book to print and this was right after the X’mas holidays, mind you.

So for that $50 odd dollars that i’m paying, i am actually pretty satisfied with the book.

Kitchen Projects, The Husband & Wife

Pop it in the oven.

Sejak menjak dah kahwin ni, aku selalu gak lah feeling Nigella Lawson. Balik kerja, takde benda lain nak buat, kalau aku tak masak, aku makan. Tu aje lah.

Muka aku ni pun dah bulat macam pinggan orang kawin. -_-

So, just yesterday, i baked Shepherd’s Pie. Feeling omputih pulak k.
Pasal asyik makan Nasi ngan Mee je.

I love makanan omputih because it is so easy to cook and it doesn’t require much effort nor ingredients honestly. Great for working wives (macam saya).

I don’t know how long i can keep up with the “masak-lepas-balik-kerja” routine cos most of my colleagues cakap memenatkan. So far i find it enjoyable, but that’s because i love cooking. Especially when your husband walks in through the door after work and find you at the kitchen. Itu feeling yang tak tau nak cakap apa. lol

Tapi bila your husband balik rumah and find you sitting on the kitchen floor, chopping chicken, macam nak selubung je muka ngan kain batik. Malu sangat. Macam makcik2. Sungguh tak sexy.

But no, I am not in the pakai-kain-batik or the baju butterfly nya phase. Yet.
tyvm.

Musings of a Bride

Pompom flower berbulu.

Ok, title tak ley angkat. I might be slow but i just saw these adorable pompoms and i thought i will share with some of you, who love DIY crafts, just like i do.

Cantik kan? So pretty and fluffy! #ithinkimobsessedwithfluffyflowers.

I think i shall attempt to do this for the home soon.
Maybe in bright colours to pop up the room.

Shall attempt k. Will let you guys know if i did manage to do it but meanwhile, if you think you wanna try it for yourself, you can follow the tutorial here.
