looks like the hot flashes are here to stay. sad face gila.
i cannot stand the heat even though the fan is right in front of me. In the car, i’m the one adjusting the air-con vents. Usually that’s what my husband does.

yesterday night, i was busy preparing cupcakes for the sister-in-law cos she needed it for her boss farewell party.
but punyalah banyak sangkak. I swear it was a disaster right from the beginning. From the under-cook cake to the frosting cair.
Pikir balik, apa punya suey lah semalam tu.

So i had to go down to Giant to get more butters and all to re-do the cupcakes and that was already 9.00pm.
At the butter section, there was this auntie in about her 50s i think, tgh belek2 butter yang those spreadable ones.
Because the section is so small, i tunggu lah belakang dia so i can pick up the butter i want once she’s done.

Tunggu nya tunggu, dia masih belek2 tu butter so i pegi je lah sebelah dia and try to grab my butter which is at the top right corner.
Aku dah ler pendek, terjengkit2 nak amik butter si aunty pulak took the opportunity to ask me questions about butter. Macam lah aku ni butter nya sales promoter.

I am finally feeling the side effects from Clomid. Not that i’ve been waiting or wanting it but it finally hit me today.

I’m usually cold and i can survive quite long without the fan on, so surprise surprise today, right after the heavy downpour, i was complaining of the heat and the husband told me it’s cold! Now this man is a polar bear. Jarang sekali dia cakap cuaca sejuk. I checked his forehead and yup, he’s not sweating! So why the hell am i having hot flashes, if it’s not cos of Clomid kan?

In the afternoon, i was annoyed for some reason (i really don’t know why cos i work from home, i don’t have colleagues to annoy me, but i feel very annoyed, macam serba tak kena) And then, my daddy had to call me of all the times. I nearly snapped at him just now. Nearly lah. I sensed the annoyance creeping out of me as i speak to him but wa maintain je ah beb. Ni kalau ter-snap kat bapak sendiri, mau dia datang rumah bawak hanger nanti. 😦

if you don’t know, there is a new Halal Steakhouse in town!

It’s Le Steak by Chef Amri, located at Jalan Kayu. Super far from Bt Panjang but we are known to be willing to travel for food. hee hee
After having Tony Roma’s Rib Eye Steak at KL, i find Halal steaks in Singapore booooring. Lagik2 si swensen nya steak.
Save for Badoque’s! But that one is super massive, i can never finish it.

So i was really glad when i got to know of the new steakhouse.
They offer Sirloin, Rib Eye and other premium cuts. I took Ribeye and at a reasonable $16.90 price tag, i think i’ve found my go-to-steakhouse.

It is a very cosy restaurant with most of the seats outside. Because it’s fairly new and people are still curious about it, do expect huge crowds and long queue lines during the weekend. Luckily we only had to wait about 20mins to get a seat. Those behind me had to wait at least between 30-45mins.

But it was worth the wait.

Just called the gynae and he told me to come in on CD12 which is on 30th May to do a scan.

Previously when i visited the sinseh, she advised me to drink Longan Red Date (LRD) Tea to help with my cold body.
Apparently LRD warms the body but she told me to drink alternate days else it would be too heaty.

So i made one just now!

Basically all you have to do is dump everything, together with 1 litres of water and boil it on a slow fire or use a slow cooker for at least 15-20 mins.

So this week, everybody were talking about Angelina Jolie double masectomy.
I went for a swim earlier and a group of girls were talking about it at the changing room as well and making jokes about it.

My take on this: Ehhhh dia punya boobies, dia punya suka ler.

But in all honesty, i think she must have already pikir tiga, sepuloh kali maybe before making this decision and what i feel is, she should know better of how it feels to see your loved ones suffering from cancer and i’m pretty sure she had her children interests at heart, hence the decision to continue with the procedure.

My mother detected her lump early and was able to have it removed before it gets too late and as we all know, breast cancer is hereditary.
So sometimes, i do get paranoid when i feel there’s something wrong with mine. Like when it’s aching too much etc.

A classmate of mine detected her breast cancer quite late and had to remove one of hers and i remembered crying because i can feel her pain of having to remove one of her breast at such a young age.

So yes, my point is, it is so easy for us to poke fun at her and make insensitive remarks at the situation.

But what if it happen to us or our loved ones?

i have told the husband that we will continue our TTC journey and do whatever we can possibly do till the end of the year.
if there still ain’t any bun in my oven, then we’ll take things as it is and go on a well-deserved trip.

While i am really really tempted to visit Maldives, i think we have been going to too many Beach destinations already and it’s time we try something new and Europe came almost immediately.

Here’s my wishlist so far.

i remember telling a close girlfriend previously,

“If the relationship requires so much hard work that you almost feel burdened and suffocated, maybe it is not worth it after all?”

i still stand by it till now.

even though me and the boy had trouble fitting into each other lifestyle early in the relationship, i find that we cruised through our courting days quite smoothly with not much drama-mama (think cheating partners or case of mak bapak tak approve the relationship or financial disagreements)

yes we squabble but which couple don’t kan?
