I saw this somewhere, can’t remember where and i thought it’ll be cool to share!
I think i’ll be facing the very same problem i have always warn my clients about.
I have too many people to invite but i shall be disciplined and just invite those that really matter.
On another note, i can’t wait to see my own wedding card and how it’ll turn out.
Last week, i received a letter from HDB with regards to my AHG.
It’s approved! *happy dance*
We got a grant of $25,000. May not be as much as the $40,000 but still?
$25,000 is a big deal to us and probably can cover at least 1 year of HDB loan. i think lah.
This morning, tangan gatal, check CPF account and *ka-ching* the grant is already deposited into our CPF Account. 🙂
So now with our HLE and AHG approved, i excitedly called our HDB Officer to arrange for the deferment of our Marriage Certificate.
I’ve emailed her all the receipts this morning and hopefully everything is in order.
Will probably call and ‘hound’ them again later this week.

I’m mad excited about this. I have been waiting for the house for so long and i can’t wait to build our love nest slowly. I know it’s not gonna be a smooth-sailing ride for sure. But Insyaallah, we’ll make it through.
I also managed to finish off 90% of my Bunga Rampai holder.
I’m gonna go over to Arab Street on Thursday and buy some small pearl beads to complete the look and i’ll show you guys k.
My next project will be the Bunga Pahar. I am thinking of DIY-ing it myself.

If not, off to JB i go and buy the 50pcs for RM$30.00 one aje. lol
My bantal hantaran sampai sekarang macam gitu jugak, but my mom promised to help me with it, so i’m somehow safe.
As of today, i’m left with 164 days before the wedding and to be honest, i’m moving really really slow. lol
While talking to the boy about Photoshoot ideas, we came up with lots and lots but couldn’t figure out which one we wanted.

Oh, hello!
How long has it been since i last blogged? Been really busy with work and stuffs and couldn’t find time to blog.
I have just completed my Marriage Preparation Course by the way.
The class that i went to, was really really small. Only 5 couples.
While it was really mostly common sense topics, i particularly like the Finance topic covered by the Facilitator.
We were told to get in groups and given a scenario of a typical family and to list down the budget.
Oh my. Belanja rumah macam apa. Belanja untuk 2 kids je boleh dalam $500 – $800 per month.
The boy initially wanted 3 kids. I wanted two.
After that discussion, i still insisted on two kids.
He still insist we should have at least three. God bless me.
Thank God the session was only 9.00am to 4.00pm only instead of 6.00pm as the cut the tea breaks short.
The boy and me had fun though, jotting down things we want for our family and how our vision is actually similar. Alhamdulilah.
Now, i can’t wait for 19th May cos we’ll be able to book our kadi on that day.
As for my other wedding DIY, i’ll probably start doing them actively in May since i’ll be clearing my leave on that month.
and oh.. on a random note, Great Singapore Sale starts on 27th May 2011!
I am still waiting patiently for HDB to approve our AHG. They are seriously getting on my nerves. They told me it will take one month, but it’s coming to two months already and still no news.
The reassuring part is, when i go to Forums, some of them are still waiting for their keys too.
I have got lotsa things to update actually. Will do so when i’m free! 🙂

The other thing i am looking forward to, apart from the wedding has to be our love nest.
I don’t know what’s taking H/D/B so long to get all the paperwork done. sigh.
Because i have done almost all the research for my wedding, i tend to do more research for house deco instead. I have been prowling the renotalk forums for tips and contacts for contractors etc.
I may not be engaging an ID cos we don’t intend to take up any renovation loans and getting an ID is just a waste of $ for us since we have aready envision what we want for the house. It’s gonna be something really simple, and we are going to add things slowly, but surely.
I have already got my contractor for my floorings. I’ll be using Supreme Flooring for my laminate flooring. We have paid the deposit for the floorings but have not chosen any colours yet. Keith, the sales staff in charge of us is extremely helpful. I brought him down to the flat when the H/D/B officer was there to allow me to do a site inspection. I wasn’t happy with the state of my flooring as there were lots of bumps and the officer kept saying “it’s like that one.”
Keith helped me to reason out with the officer cos i was hopping mad when he kept arguing with me.
As for the price, it was a whole lot cheaper than what the ID quoted me.
For my living room and 3 bedrooms, AC5 laminated flooring (which is of the highest grade) cost me $3000 in total. Three ID quoted me between $5000 – $7000. Go figure.
I have not choose the colours yet cos Keith recommends that we paint the house 1st and then we do a colour matching.
The boy wants neutral hues for the house. Browns and Greys possibly.

I love dark colours as feature walls but i fear it wouldn’t be appropriate for H/D/B Flats cos of it’s size and all.

Oh hello!!It has been a while since i update anything.
Work has been dominating me for the past week cos of the Career expo we did over the weekends.
This is the 2nd Career Expo i did with the Co. and it’s still as tiring as ever.
My legs are still jiggly from the thought of it. All the running around, the standing macam patung paid off on the last day though!
I have not done anything much for the wedding, except for the Bunga Rampai case.
I am still undecided on the colours i wanna have for his Dulang Hantaran. Sekejap nak brown and cream. Then today, i thought, why not inject more colour and have turquoise in it instead. Brown and Turquiouse. . Hmmm.
I have more or less decided how i want my invites to be. Will share with you once i have things firmed up.
I can’t believe it’s gonna be April soon. Like seriously??
I thought i just heard people shouting “Happy New Year”, like recently?
I’m left with about 6months. Financially, we are trying to save every bit we can. No short holidays even. Trust me, im tempted to run off to Bali or Krabi right now.
April is gonna be a good month for me to do all my DIY Stuffs since i be working Mon – Wed only for the 1st 3 weeks of April. Lucky, i know. *beams*
I’m gonna drag the boy to Arab Street soon to buy ribbons and all the nitty-gritty just because i felt like shopping. I rarely shop for things i like nowadays. It’s always practical stuffs and things i need for the weddings. I didn’t know i can actually do it, you know. lol
and oh! me and my other girlfriends are now planning for a hen night for one of my gf who’s gonna get hitched in June. I’m not saying anything, just in case she manage to chance upon my blog. lol
But it’s gonna be something different from what we have done before and i bet she will have a good time.
I kind of have told my girlfriends what i want for my hen night! hahaha
That’s because they are all hopeless with planning. All the previous hen night were planned by me and it’s no surprise when they initially have no idea what to do for mine but i have told me roughly what i wanted and got them to work it out themselves. lol
Next week gonna be a tad busy too cos the boy and his mates will be having their own showcase on 9th April with Black Box. I’m excited cos i know just how passionate the boy is with his music.
They have always wanted their own showcase and now they have got one!
I don’t know if i have told u guys before but his Band plays at Weddings as well.
