A heartwarming pre-wedding video
Not sure if you guys know of these two TV3 celebrity host. The hubby, Tengku Naharuddin hosts Remaja at TV3 while Michelle (Dalili) is part of the Melodi team. Alaaaaah.. Melodi… yang panas tu. lol
They recently got married and i saw this video of theirs which is so simple yet very heartwarming and it does not comes as a surprise that it’s from CST Productions, one of the top Wedding Videographer in Malaysia. I loveee their wedding videos.
Planning for the Deco Setup.
Feels like it has been so long since i draft any post here. Busy makcik ni ngan kerja, ngan rumahtangga (eceh!), ngan tengok E! Entertainment lagik, mana nak carik time nak blog. lol
Because i miss wedding-planning (really i do!), i shall write about how i indirectly designed my own pelamin and deco setup with Uncle Jais expertise.
I am so lucky to get Uncle Jais service and i will not ask for anyone else. It was a pleasant and fuss-free experience for me and what i like was his detailness in everything. He stayed throughout the my nikah day, betul kan deco mana yang patut etc and stayed till late night just to make everything perfect. For that, i am really really thankful.
I can just switch off my mind about the deco on Friday night because i know he’ll do a good job for me.
Prior to the whole deco setup, he called me to make me consider his new off-white headboard instead of the old pink headboard that i wanted. I agreed but i told him i would email him on how i want the design to be.
No, i did not create a whole design on it own, tu dah melampau. I just made with what he have and what he can give. (i am not an unreasonable bridezilla ok!)

So 2 weeks before the wedding, this is what i emailed him:

I spent less than an hour editting the Pelamin in Photoshop and doing up the whole mockup thing and save for one or two, i really get what i requested.
So my advise to you BTBs, if you find it difficult to express what kind of Deco you want to your vendor, draw it out or better still do a PDF file or Powerpoint file for them. I think they would appreciate it if you point everything out right at the start, to avoid miscommunication. I know, cos i also love it when my clients take the effort to do a ppt slide to let me know what are the changes they need to be done to the card cos it’s clear cut and you make minimal mistake.
It doesn’t require lotsa time nor does it require you to have any design knowledge etc. At least when u submit your requests to them in black & white and let them have a picture of what they need to do, they can let u know asap if your request is feasible or not. If tak boleh, then pepandai lah carik alternative 🙂

Review on My Little Cuppies: Cakes and more cakes!
Remember the cupcake stand i painstakingly DIY-ed?
This is how it looked on our big day.
I ordered some regular cupcakes ($1.80) and some mini ones ($0.80) from My Little Cuppies.
I chose a simple design considering that my Cupcake Stand has plenty of details already.
The cupcakes taste nice! You know how some cupcakes nampak lawa tapi bila makan, kadang2 manis and some buttercream has that plastic taste? Yang ni takde!
I was very pleased with the presentation and the taste so definitely thumbs up for Kak Ros!
All in all, i only spent less than $100.00 on my cupcakes and the materials for my cupcake stand costs me less than $50.00.
Apart from the cupcakes, i also ordered the Viola Set from Kak Ros.
I requested for Cake with a White Flying V guitar with Tiffany blue base for the cake and i absolutely adore the final outcome!
If you are looking for cupcakes for your wedding, i would recommend My Little Cuppies.
She also does wedding cakes and wedding cupcake tiers.
But if you are on a budget like me, you can get the loose cupcakes from her and diy your own cupcake stands.
If you are lazy to DIY your own, my cupcake stand is up for rent at a nominal fee. 🙂

my 28th
So, i celebrated my 28th last 2 days. The colleagues surprised me with pizza and a birthday and to be really honest, i nearly forgot my birthday. Not because i’m turning 28 and i’m in denial. lol
But because planning the wedding actually took up the bulk of my memory space. haha
It was a simple celebration, but sweet nonetheless.
The boy took me out for a movie date on my birthday and it was a much needed one. Dah lama tak tengok wayang! We caught What’s Your Number and i was ogling at Chris Evans the whole time. tsk.
Go watch it! Although the movie is really quite predictable but it had some awesome, original lines.
On rainy deepavali, we were out visiting relatives. That’s all we gonna do at least for another week!

After 10 days..
After 10 days of being a wife, here’s what i have to say.
- Suddenly, macam banyak gila kerja rumah nak bikin. I’m not a domestic goddess, so the first few days kahwin tu, macam banyak sangat laundry nak bikin. It doesn’t help that i don’t normally iron shirts etc. So when it comes to ironing his work shirts and pants, i nearly fainted.
- We both start work at 9am and while i am used to waking up at 8am every day cos my friend will drive me to work at approx 8.50am and we’ll reach office at about 9.20am (hee hee). The boy have to wake up by 6.00am and leave the house by 6.30am cos he’s using the OPC car and need to reach his work place at Jurong East by 7.00am. Needless to say, our frist day back to work was pretty chaotic. I managed to wake up by 6.00am but i didn’t have the energy to go on waking him up 3 to 4 times. i gave up after the first try and went back to sleep. The both of us did not wake up till 8.00am. Imagine kita semua lari2 dalam rumah macam org gila just tomake sure we get out by 8.30am!
But, i am enjoying the whole marriage life. It just makes us bond even further. Each night before i sleep, i am thankful to Him for letting me meet my soulmate.
I know it’ll be hard for us to adjust to our new life. Just few nights ago, i cried cos i was homesick. But i know, given time, we will definitely get used to our new lifestyle.
I am certainly learning to domesticate myself, starting with the laundry and cooking.
Twice, the parents-in-law came, and i was able to whip out some dishes including Mee Soto. Uber proud! I didn’t manage to take picture of the Mee Soto cos everyone was hungry. lol
Our first proper dinner. Sambal sardin + Kailan Oyster + salted egg.

I mentioned about how he surprised me with a song he composed, on our wedding day. It really came as a surprise to me cos he did not tell me about it at all.
He did play the tunes before this, and i told him i love the tunes but i never though he would actually put the words together (with some helps from Jentayu, of cos!)
The lyrics were simple but oh so meaningful and sweet. Bila dengar and tengok lagik, macam nak nangis lagik. lol
and oh, i cried so much on my wedding, macam budak baru masuk Primary 1 sey.
